What does it mean if my bf gave me a gold ring for anniversary rather than silver or white gold ring?

Is there any special meaning if he chose to give me gold ring which he custom made the design of the ring for our 1st year anniversary rather than the white gold or silver ring? Is it the white gold & silver ring is lower value than gold ring?

Silver costs less than gold. White and yellow gold cost the same. I think your guy just picked one he thought you would like, and didn’t know the difference. Guys are like that. I wouldn’t attach any significance. Just be thankful that he remembered to give you a gift.
