Do You Have To Buy An Anniversary Ring For Your Wife Every Year?

My wife and I have been married 3 years so far. I bought her gifts and we went out every anniversary but only one of those years I bought her an anniversary ring. I've bought her jewlery other times such as valentines and x-mas. Because I was thinking if you had to do this every year of the marriage you would have lots of rings it won't make any sense. Also is there a certain point where you stop purchasing jewlery for your wife and purchase other things?

No you do not have to purchase a ring every year, or jewlrey every holiday. It means so much more if you surprise her with it sometimes. Just be romantic with her make her dinner on the night of your anniversary and buy her a stuffed animal. The simple stuff you do can mean more than any piece of jewlery ever can. Any woman who thinks she desevers a ring for every holiday and every anniversary doesn’t love you and just wants you for money or jewlery.
My husband has bought me diamond solitaire neckace and earrings, and my wedding and engagement rings. For different holidays, he has bought me a charm bracelet, tanzanite bracelet, and a garnet ring. I love the charm bracelet because we add to it every once in awhile. How about getting her a gold chain that you add one small pearl to every year? Or a charm bracelet you can add charms to every year? It does not have to be a ring.
A ring every year!!! God Bless y our Mom or whoever taught you that!! I am married 23 years and dont have any anniversary rings…lol The point is, you give from the heart…and jewelry is always nice…but so is time together, a weekend away, flowers, etc. Have a chat with your spouse…how does she want to mark the occasion? Can you afford it? All the best to you.
No you don’t have to buy a ring, there would simply be too many. If you want to be traditional do the 1st anniversary = paper etc. This will keep thing nice, challenging and romantic!
You will get to a point where you have already bought her everything. Rings, jewelry, flowers, cards, and etc.
You will come to a point in your life when you will actually have to think about what your gift will be this year.
Examples: A homemade coupon book. Make it about envelope size. Lets say use about 10 pages. Staple one side to make it work like a book. Try to use different color papers. Women like all the colors.
Page one: This coupon entitles you to One Date Nite.
Page two: This coupon entitles you to Free Foot Massage!
Page three: This coupon entitles you to….use your imagination and your style to finish the rest of the book.
This is just as valuable as a ring becuz it tells her, he actually took the time to think about all these nice things to say.
He really loves me……….awh…works everytime..
No buy a ring everyyear can be costly and may every 10 years can be nice, there are other things you can buy her or just do something special like taking a trip, cooking her dinner, or jst doing some sweet from you heart. Me and my husband has been married for 4 yr. the little things are so special oh back rubs are nice to you dont have to get jewlery every year i would think she wwould get tired of that after a while, but hey thats just me i dont harly wear mine it just seats there.
no rules involved!! buy her what you want to buy for her, something that is a true reflection of how you feel about her.
as far as i know, each year has different traditional items for gifts, but there’s no rule to say you have to!!
ie first year is paper!! (so i bought my husband a print for our bedroom wall)
I diamond anniversary band is suppoed to be bought on the 10th year of marriage. Don’t worry about trying to get something lavish, do something special and she will remember it forever, buy her something and see if she remember what it is in a few years down the road…many women don’t remember the gifts they got.
You never stop buying jewelery! Ladies love that. and they love showing it off to their friends and family. You dont have to buy an anniversary ring but too much rings is never a bad thing. Rather opt for a nice pendant and earrings to match or a bracelet and chain. Or a nice new watch to show that you value your Time spent together. Jewelry is great on an anniversary!
Put it in a trust with a trustee you trust to ensure that your entrusted professional will oversee the proceeds in the trust so that your wife is not entrusted with all the money upfront, but rather receives money from the trust as dictated by the trust agreement, and that the trustee carries out your wishes.
notice the central theme?
I think we are thinking of two different definitions of trust.
I'm not talking about trust as in ethics, morals, etc..I'm talking about trust funds.
If you setup a trust fund to be the owner and beneficiary of the policy, you can dictate the terms of that trust, which would in turn dictate things such as the use of the trust proceeds.
For example, the $1.3 million goes into the trust upon your death. You had already setup the terms of that trust determining how much could be spent each year, for what purpose such as education, housing, fun money, etc..
That way you can ensure that the money lasts.

Im guessing you dont have any bcr pliers.
Get some bottle nose pliers, the really thin kind. Wrap each side in a bit of electrical tape, for grip more than anything, then put them inside the ring, while closed, as you open the pliers the ring should open too. Be careful as it can be painful if they slip, hence the tape.
Also, dont close BCR's up like that, as some of them can be very very difficult to open, especially from 2.4mm upwards.
have had the best weekend with my lovely and beautiful wife-back to work today- but the good news is we get Brody back tomorrow

Perhaps you should set up a trust which sets forth the amount of money you want your wife to be provided monthly (obviously enough to live on after you pass; you may want an economist to estimate that amount). Name the trust as the beneficiary of the insurance benefits. Possibly a spendthrift trust.
I would consult an attorney who specializes in trusts.
You may also want to get some type of mortgage insurance that says when you die, the mortgage on your house will be paid off in full (so that your wife won't have to worry about that).
Hi diggers, I recently purchased a beautiful Diamond ring from this website. Its a new approach to buy jewelry. Unlike any online jewelry store i have seen, this website allows us to actually select a design; then modify its diamond size, diamond quality, metal color, etc LIVE on the website, with real-time price updates! Check it out yourself!
Great idea! Gap Years are such an awesome thing.
I would suggest that you mix up the experiences. For example, maybe you could try heading to Mexico to volunteer and live on a farm, helping the farmers with their harvest. After a month or two, head into another country and work with animals, then maybe you could volunteer at a school helping little kids with English.
There are a ton of opportunities out there and having a second language is amazing!
Usually you can negotiate your accommodation and sometimes your food with the group you are volunteering for.
Check the inks below for info about various volunteer programs (some free)
The second link is a MONSTROUS list of volunteer programs in South/Central America. The top list is free. The second list is low-cost.
If you have any questions, get in touch.
Happy travels!

I agree with every single thing Mr. Schiff said here except the part about electing leaders. I don’t want to be lead. I only want to be represented. That’s all I ask.
The best anniversary present I ever received was a wine tasting trip to Temecula, Ca. It was something I really wanted to do, and it was a romantic day for both of us. If you are near wineries, you may be able to find a tour pretty cheap.
If not, find out the activities he enjoys and plan a day around it. Especially if it is something he enjoys and you don't particularly love, it just seems to make it more special that you went out of your way to do something for him that you wouldn't normally do.
well, it is what it says.. she says she has a video.. but as Vero said, I’ll believe it when I see it
